Terrance Charles (T.C) Fitzgerald IV joined the Iceland Symphony Orchestra as Co-Principal Double Bass in 2023. He was previously a member of the Estonian National Opera Orchestra and Associate Principal Double Bass with the Guiyang Symphony Orchestra in China. T.C. has performed with the Singapore Symphony, Richmond Symphony, Virginia Symphony, Charlotte Symphony, and as Guest Principal with the Charleston Symphony Orchestra. As a student, he spent his summers studying at L'Académie Orford Musique and Domaine Forget in Québec, Canada and performing at the Texas Music Festival, New Generation Festival in Florence, Italy and Paléo Festival de Nyon in Switzerland.

 T.C. received a Bachelor's degree from the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music of the National University of Singapore, an Artist Diploma from the Glenn Gould School of the Royal Conservatory of Music, and a Master's degree from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. His primary teachers include former Singapore Symphony Principal Double Bass Guennadi Mouzyka, Toronto Symphony Principal Double Bass Jeffrey Beecher, and former Pittsburgh Symphony Principal Double Bass Jeffrey Turner.

 Growing up in Seattle, T.C. started taking lessons with Todd Gowers and Seattle Symphony Associate Principal Double Bass Joseph Kaufman. He has additionally studied at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music with San Francisco Symphony Assistant Principal Double Bass Stephen Tramontozzi, the Longy School of Music with Thomas Van Dyck of the Boston Symphony Orchestra and with Professor Kurt Muroki at Indiana University.
