Nimrod Ron

Nimrod Ron er ísraelskur túbuleikari sem stundaði túbunám hjá Daniel Perantoni og Shmuel Hershko.

Nimrod hefur unnið fyrstu verðlaun í alþjóðlegum túbukeppnum, til að mynda International Tuba Euphonium Conference í Tucson, Arizona, árið 2010 og Indiana University Concerto Competition árið 2011. 

Nimrod hefur verið leiðandi túbuleikari Sinfóníuhljómsveitar Íslands frá árinu 2012. Hann hefur kennt masterklassa víðsvegar um Ísrael, Bandaríkin og Evrópu, ásamt því að kenna við Tónlistarskólann í Reykjavík. 

Allt frá komu sinni til Íslands hefur Nimrod verið metnaðarfullur talsmaður nýrrar túbutónlistar á Íslandi. Nimrod hefur leikið með mörgum af helstu sinfóníuhljómsveitum heims, þar á meðal  Fílharmóníuhljómsveitinni í Ísrael, Tetro Alla Scala, Mahler kammersveitinni, Staatskapelle Berlín, West-Eastern Divan hljómsveitinni undir stjórn Daniels Barenboim, Sinfóníuhljómsveitinni í Toronto, Boulez Ensamble og fleiri.

Winner of numerous international tuba competitions, Nimrod has performed with major orchestras among them are the Israel Philharmonic, Teatro Alla Scala, Mahler Chamber Orchestra, Staatskapelle Berlin, West-Eastern Divan, Toronto Symphony Orchestra, Boulez Ensemble and more. B

etween playing tuba recitals and instructing clinics around the world, Nimrod resides in Iceland where he plays tuba with the Iceland Symphony Orchestra and teaches the tuba class at the Conservatory of music in Reykjavik and is a big supporter of Icelandic composers writing for the tuba. 

 Since winning the Principal tuba audition for the Iceland Symphony Orchestra in 2012 Nimrod moved to Iceland where he now plays with the orchestra on the year long season, and performs with the West Eastern Divan orchestra under the Maestro Barenboim in the summer months.
